The 3 Amigos Ride At ATLANTICADE Featured

atlanticade logo

ATLANTICADE is pleased to announce their version of “The 3 Amigos” will ride in support of first responders and the “Look Twice – Save A Life” awareness theme as part of the 12th annual festival being held June 21st to 24th in Moncton. N.B.

Of course, the original cast of the 1986 Three Amigos movie consisted of Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, and Martin Short. The ATLANTICADE trio will be just as notable with Glenn Roberts of Motorcycle Mojo fame, Harold Nesbitt of Motorcycle Tour Guide, and Larry Northrup owner of Toys For Big Boys dealership in Moncton all saddling up in support of the awareness ride. All three have been strong supporters of ATLANTICADE and the motorcycle community in general.

“Glenn, Harold and Larry are three well known and respected names in the biker community and always willing to lend their support to various initiatives” explained festival chairman Dale Hicks. “We plan to make this an annual activity so we felt they would be excellent choices to lead our inaugural event”.

The ride, which will take place on Saturday evening, June 23rd, will depart from the Moncton Coliseum at 7:30 pm and take in the greater Moncton community before concluding at the festival site on Assumption Blvd.

Data shows motorcyclists are about 27 times more likely than car occupants to die in a motor vehicle collision and 6 times more likely to suffer serious injury. The majority of vehicle – motorcycle incidents are generally a result of the driver claiming they simply didn’t see the motorcycle.

Whereas ATLANTICADE is one of the earlier events on the motorcycle calendar, Hicks felt it was good opportunity to help get the awareness message out to the public. “We will be working with Jason Stephens of CJS Customs who has taken on the Look Twice – Save A Life campaign in our region. Motorcycle collisions have been on the rise in recent years and if we can bring attention to the situation and thereby save a few lives in doing so it would be well worth it. By raising motorists’ awareness, hopefully both drivers and bikers will be safer sharing the road in 2018” said Hicks.
