Sunday Best!

Front of TshirtWhat better way to spend a Sunday than surrounded by motorcycles.  Not just any old bunch of motorcycles either.  These aren’t on a dealer floor, it isn’t a demo day.  It is the awesome display of a Rider’s pride and joy at a Motorcycle Show and Shine.

The R.A.G.E. Annual Motorcycle Show and Shine started in 2013, the same year R.A.G.E. was founded.

This is our second year, and like anything we are learning and getting better each time.  After moving the date of the show due to rain, it went off without a hitch.

O’Hanlon’s and Downtown Regina are host/sponsors of the event.  We shut down Scarth Street in front of O’Hanlon’s for the event.  In a few short hours the street is transformed into an atmosphere of motorcycles, music, and good times.

The show will continue to evolve as time goes on.  It is for the whole family.  This year we had face-painting, event t-shirts (with beer tickets sponsored by Labatt), door prizes and a whole lotta fun.

There wasn’t an official head-count but there were over 40 motorcycles registered for the show.  At any given time just as many were parked in the “motorcycle only” parking for the event.  It is a casual day with people coming and going.  Admiring the rides, talking to the owners and catching up with old friends was part of the action happening all day.  It was a great place to be.

The music was fantastic.  Eddie and The House Rockers are the house band at this event.  They play a wide range of music and the crowd loves them.  Don Fuller is a band member and the Strategic Lead for R.A.G.E.

Throughout the afternoon there are door prizes as well.  This year’s prizes were thanks to the following:  Intec Controls Inc., EZ Blast, Bushwakker’s Brewing Co, Western Pizza on Broadway, The Tap Brew Pub & Eatery, Boston Pizza, G-Spot, Earl’s South Restaurant, Norwood Clothing Store, Planet Caravan Tattoos, Gaslight Tattoo Parlour, Body Piercing by Elisa Wallace, The Last Straw Brew Pub, and Houston Pizza at 2815 Quance Street.

The event wouldn’t happen without the tireless work of the Committee Members pulling everything together and the volunteers that are there working that day.  Not to mention those who show up and enter the show.

So all-in-all a great Sunday, showing off our rides, supporting R.A.G.E. (our rights) and visiting with old friends and making new ones.

Thanks everyone, to another successful year.

See you all at the event next year!
