Calgary Show Kicks off Canadian Tour Featured

calgary mc show 2020 CALGARY, AB (January 13, 2020) – The Motorcycle Show – Calgary, presented by NFP, took place January 10-12th at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park.

Despite the freezing temperatures in Calgary over the three days of the show, 25,822 passionate consumers still came out to have a chance to see the all-new 2020 powersport products on display. Attendance was on par with last year.

This year’s show features included the Ground N’ Gravity Show with Freestyle Riders Keith Sayers, Chad Bauman, Billy Kohut, Wille Elam, Luke Wheeler, stunt riding Champion Craig Latimer along with 6-year-old Gavin Sayers who stole the show! The Handle Bar featuring local custom builder ill-Fated Kustoms continues to be a big hit with consumers. A new addition called “ShopYYC” featuring local builders and artists complimented the custom bar area. The always popular Yamaha Riding Academy was filled to capacity early each day as children eagerly made their way to sign up as soon as the doors opened. Strider Canada was popular with over 240 of our littlest attendees learning all about two-wheels.

Our Annual She Rides Night on Friday the 10th, saw 443 women take advantage of the 1⁄2 price savings and then enter for a chance to win the new $2000 Shop the Show Experience. Winner Joanne was excited to spend her windfall with show exhibitors. Saturday had over 1100 entries for the Kawasaki Own the Street Motorcycle draw and a very large, excited crowd gathered at 4:00pm to listen to hear if their names were called. Tracy from Calgary was beyond ecstatic when her key turned over her new ride.

The Calgary Motorcycle Show had fantastic media coverage this year: CTV – live onsite Friday morning, CTV in-studio for Thursday noon news. Live radio broadcasts with Q107, Country 105, CJAY92, in studio with XL103, AM 1140, Sun Country 99.7, The Eagle 100.9, Big 105, 106.7 The Drive Red Deer, 97.7 Soft Rock, Lethbridge Herald, Calgary Herald/driving.ca print and digital articles with photos. Overall the Show continues to see an increase of social media including online photos, videos and tweets from participating exhibitors and consumers including a pre-show ticket promotion.

We want to thank all of our sponsors, exhibitors and feature partners for the continuous support in making the Calgary Motorcycle Show a success!
