Atlanticade news release RE: Telus Ride For Dad

atlanticade border 267Moncton (NB) – The ATLANTICADE Motorcycle Festival is pleased to announce that the 2017 Telus New Brunswick Ride For Dad event will be held on Sunday, June 25th as part of the final day activities of the four day festival.

In fact, the organizing committee will be on site throughout that weekend promoting the ride and raising funds in support of prostate cancer. The actual ride will depart from the festival site in downtown Moncton at 2 pm on that Sunday and will represent the last activity of the 11th annual ATLANTICADE schedule which runs from June 22nd to 25th.

In past years the event was held earlier in the month of June but organizers felt having it take place as part of the ATLANTICADE weekend could prove beneficial for participants and in the overall fundraising efforts.

“The fact we will be on site all weekend promoting the ride and selling merchandise, not to mention other vendors, live entertainment, and the food component of Ribfest, are all additional benefits that our organizing group does not have to plan for” said committee member Gene Seaman. “Plus, the exposure we will generate to the motorcycle community through ATLANTICADE should result in a greater turnout for our ride on Sunday.”

From his perspective, ATLANTICADE chairman Dale Hicks feels the inclusion of the “Ride For Dad” event is a great way to close out the schedule and a natural fit for the festival. “Part of our festival is about raising awareness and funds for selected charities so we are very pleased to be partnering with Telus New Brunswick Ride For Dad this year.”

The Moncton event is the only scheduled Ride For Dad activity in the Province for 2017. For more information on the Telus New Brunswick Ride For Dad go to www.RideForDad.ca
