MotoChic® wants to know... What's in your bag? Featured

MotoChic whats in your bag Whether a daily riding bag or an emergency go-bag, our MotoChic® bags have your back. We love hearing stories from ladies who live life in the fast lane.

Meet Aliki, a 20-year army veteran, racer, motorcycle instructor, and all-around badass! She created VnMSport to provide the highest quality performance base layers on the planet, worn by MotoGP and World Superbike racers as well as street-bike riders who rave about their design and functionality. Exactly the reason why at MotoChic we chose to collaborate with VnMSport to create our Cooling Base Layer Tops

In this issue, Aliki shares her latest adventures with her MotoChic® Lauren bag, during a recent trip to Europe.

“I travel the world often and I like to move around a lot on foot. Recently, I decided to see if I could pack as light as possible for my trip through the Greek Islands with my family. So, I stuffed my Lauren Bag bag with as much as I could and I've got to say that it was the best idea ever! The ability to use it as a backpack or tote bag is amazing!

Surprisingly, the Lauren bag survived my overpacking and is ergonomically perfect! I'm 5'3 with a pretty small frame so backpacks are usually an issue when worn for long periods of time. The "lady arch" in my lower back is usually a problem for me when wearing a backpack because it interferes with my walking (I walk with my hips). The straps are made to fit a small frame like mine so they don't interfere with my shoulders and cut off the circulation. I cannot believe how light and comfortable the bag was when hiking around in the heat!

My daily attire consisted of a few sets of yoga pants and tees because they pack light, dry fast, and are great for hiking. My evening attire was a maxi dress (which can be worn daily, at the beach, and out in the evening) with some jewelry and nice sandals and I converted the Lauren bag to “tote” mode. Voila, instant chic!

On this particular trip, my family decided to bring rolling luggage with them. I sat back and watched how annoyed they were at hauling all their luggage around. It was extremely difficult for them to carry their luggage up and down the tight cobblestone roads and steep stairways of Santorini.

We missed our connecting flight due to the need for them to retrieve their checked luggage and put it on the new plane. When taking the ferry from Athens to the islands, luggage needs to be checked on the ship and we almost missed our departure stop trying to find all of it. Had I taken the trip with “Lauren” only, the whole journey would likely have gone much smoother.

Packing light, keeping my contents minimal and bringing a sturdy, ergonomic, and good looking bag made all the difference for me! I’ll do it again in a heartbeat!”

And now, meet Sui, a professional graphic designer and camera enthusiast from NYC who was looking for a versatile bag that would serve her on all occasions from photoshoots to potential natural disasters.

“The backpacks for camera gear are manly and bulky. This one is great for carrying my camera equipment if I need to go on location to do a photoshoot or document. Because of its padding, it protects the camera and it even holds my 13” laptop. Plus it is prettier.

Now, because of natural disasters, it is recommended to have a GoBag and I really needed one that will hold up in bad weather. Plus you do want your important documents and emergency kits in one of your nicest bags that you want to keep when you have to run. I like that it can be carried or used as a backpack.”
